This track is focused on the next wave of creators, driven by leading edge providers of technology solutions and platforms that are allowing consumers, prosumers and independent professionals to have access to the latest tools, SDKs and solutions to create unique media and entertainment content.
The Virtual Production Track on NVIDIA Stage – Friday, November 4, 11am-4:30pm
This track is focuses on-set virtual production with discussions from some of the top working professionals in this burgeoning field. You’ll hear about the reshaping of the content pipeline, new techniques in photogrammetry, budgetary and creative implications and how on-set virtual production has driven a global shift in the way content is created.
The Virtual Production Workshop, Presented by Z by HP and NVIDIA, in association with ETC on Z by HP Stage, Saturday, November 5, 10am-5pm
A one-day intensive workshop of on-set virtual production. Produced by Erik Weaver (ETC at USC) and co-hosted by Rick Champagne (NVIDIA), participants will engage in several themes, including shooting and directing, on set operations, and virtual art departments (VAD) and creating worlds.
Conversations On Web3 on NVIDIA Stage – Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022
A day of content focused on rapid fire presentations from the Infinity Festival community from a submissions-based call to present. This track will highlight work that our community has been doing on the latest iteration of the Web, featuring case studies highlighting virtualization, the blockchain, NFT’s, cryptocurrencies and more.
The X.LA Expo Hall – Thursday & Friday November 3-4, (Thurs 11am-8pm, Fri 11am-4:30pm)
The X.LA Expo Hall at Infinity Festival features exhibits from our sponsors, partners and community members who are creating cutting-edge work featuring technologies that are empowering the business of making content. Exhibit themes include: Remote work and real-time GPUs with virtual machines, holoportation, mobile platforms and processors, immersive technologies (AR, VR, XR), research, university demos, cloud-based applications and volumetric scanning and other virtualization solutions.
The Student Lab
Led by IF executive committee and board member Erin Reilly of The Texas Immersive Institute at Moody College of Communication, University of Texas at Austin, we welcome Texas Immersive, Carnegie Melon University and The Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts to the 2022 IF Student Lab. This plethora of curious students will partake in our Student Lab Panel, run their own exhibitions in the expo hall, engage with mentors, and participate in the Virtual Production Workshop!
The Infinity Festival Job Fair – Saturday, November 5, 9am-3pm
This one-day event, an extension of our virtual production workshop, is a unique opportunity to interact with employers and companies looking for resources in the virtual production community in Hollywood. For current and future virtual production professionals, student lab attendees and companies looking for much needed resources.
